If It Was a Year of Smartphone of 2010, What About 2011

When talks about Smartphone, we may feel amazed at its development speed. The first Smartphone that used the Snapdragon processor came in the market in 2009. At the end of the same year, there already appeared several sections such mobile phones in the market. In 2010, Google launched the Nexus One, in which Snapdragon is the core power. It was a sign that Smartphone would booming in the cell phone market in 2010. After that, it only took half a year for the releasing of more than 20 new Smartphone that are using the Snapdragon processor.

With the development of Android operating system and the related application program, and the release of Microsoft Windows Phone 7 operating system, many types of mobile terminations that used Snapdragon processor are increasing rapidly today all over the world.  Until now, there are more than 50 terminations of this kind in the market.

It is getting more and more difficult to choose which kind of mobile devices, because there are so many models in the market, and the characteristics and functions of the new products are so wonderful. Only in the United States, there are many available intelligent terminations that adopted Snapdragon processor, including dell Streak, dell VenuePro, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC EVO 4G, HTC G2, HTC HD7, HTC Surround, Huawei S7, LG Quantum, Samsung Focus and SONY Ericsson Xperia 10. At present, some large operators such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless Mobile have released at least one or more intelligent terminations that used Snapdragon processor.

Smartphone is so hot in the market in 2010. Here, I have to mention the tablet computer. We all know that iPad tablet computer launched by Apple has brought a kind of brand-new mobile and computing experience for consumer. Other manufacturers are followed to produce tablet computers, in which Android operating system and bigger screens are used. Some of them also adopted the Snapdragon processor. We can predict that the market request will continue to grow in 2011. According to the announced relevant content by Qualcomm company annual financial analysts conference, there are 10 producers are designing tablet computers based on the Snapdragon processor at present.

We can feel the surprise brought from the tablet computers in CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2011. It seems that the phenomenon of tablet computers has already appeared. How many sets of tablet computers will be sold this year? If it was a year of Smartphone of 2010, what about 2011? May be it is a year of tablet computers. Let’s wait together.
